I was 3 months postpartum when I started CrossFit over five years ago and I could barely do a sit-up at the time. I was so terrified to try, but I found that the scariest thing was walking through the door. It was a process, but each time I understood a lift or the first time I was able to string together 100 single jumps, I felt accomplished. CrossFit has changed my life! Now, I have so much fun with my kids, we play and I can keep up! I’m the mom at the pool throwing/launching my kids in the water as far as the dads. Since starting, I have confidence for the first time in my life. I’m trying all sorts of things I was too afraid to try before: rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, golf (not too physically challenging, but still), and now jiu jitsu.
I have made so many dear friends through CF, the community is amazing and like no other I’ve ever encountered. There is so much encouragement and support!
I have limitations, but I listen to my body, and I still do it. I recommend it to everyone!
