what is your motivation to be fit.

is it weight, shape, strength….

or is it something more

If your motivation for fitness is something greater than what you will get on the journey then you will find yourself working harder and staying the course when these normal things dont seem to always be improving.

If your reason for fitness is say to be a better fencer or Adventure Racer or to be able to not tire out while wrestling with the kids or to do more and better at work…. then road bumps (ripped hands, slow times, being beaten in a WOD, not kipping as soon as you like, etc) in the journey will not demotivate you.  You will push through them knowing that they will improve over time and that you are creeping up on that goal.
